Everything stays in local storage on this device. Export or import JSON backups, switch light and dark themes, and print a clean week view for the fridge or planner.
How streaks are counted
A check-in marks a calendar day for a habit. Your current streak counts consecutive checked days ending today, or yesterday if you have not checked in yet. Miss a day and the current streak resets unless that habit has grace enabled, which allows a single skipped day inside the chain.
Best streak is the longest run found in your history with the same rules. Export JSON to back up habits before clearing browser data, and use the printable week view when you want a paper checklist on the fridge or in a planner.
Tips for sticking with it
Keep the habit list short enough that you will open the page daily. Name habits as concrete actions (“stretch 5 minutes”) rather than vague goals. Use the month grid to spot patterns, and turn on a grace day only for habits where life regularly gets in the way once a week.
Private by design
StreakKit has no server-side processing. Your habits stay in this browser and in storage on this device only. Clear site data anytime to wipe them, or export first if you want a backup.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. StreakKit stores habits only in your browser. There is no sign-up and no cloud sync.
What breaks a streak?
A missed day with no check-in breaks the current streak. Optional grace lets you skip one day without resetting.
Can I back up my data?
Yes. Export JSON to save a file, and import it later on this or another browser.
Does StreakKit work offline?
Once loaded, check-ins and calendars work without a connection.
Is StreakKit free?
Yes. Tracking, export, import and print are free with no sign-up.
